TSA - TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS ASSOCIATION

TSA is an organization that provides students with leadership opportunities at the local and state level. TSA Officers will attend Fall Leadership Conference in early October and State Conference in late March. TSA meetings will be held one day a week after school. Those days will be selected according to the schedules of the incoming elected officers. TSA meetings will start the week after Labor Day.

 
HONOR SOCIETY

Members of the AJH Honor Society are made up of students with a high degree of character, leadership and citizenship as well as academic excellence. They promote leadership, service and school spirit at Ada Junior High!

 
NATIVE AMERICAN CLUB

Native Spirit is the Native American Club at Ada Junior High School. The sponsor is Diane Jacob. Meetings are during the lunch period once a month. Mrs. Jacob is in the Indian Education Office located in room 110.

 
FCCLA (BUILDING SKILLS FOR LIFE)

Family, Career and Community Leaders of America is a dynamic and effective national studentís organization that helps young men and women become leaders and address important personal, family, work and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences Education.


Chapter projects focus on a variety of youth concerns, including teen pregnancy, parenting, family relationships, substance abuse, peer pressure, environment, nutrition and fitness, teen violence and career exploration.


Involvement in FCCLA offers members the opportunity to expand their leadership potential and develop skills for life-planning, goal setting, problem solving, decision making and interpersonal communication - necessary in the work place.


Natalie Hughes is the local advisor and they meet one Friday a month and some mornings.

 
SPANISH CLUB

The Spanish Club is designed to enrich their knowledge of the Spanish Language and Culture. The Sponsor is Melanie Reynolds and the club meets during lunch.

 
ACADEMIC BOWL

Academic Bowl Students will learn current events and academic matters that will allow them to grow in content and be competitive. They will learn to verbally respond QUICKLY! Students who choose to join Academic Bowl will compete in several tournaments. Academic Bowl meets once a week during lunch.
