"DOING THE RIGHT THING"
Due to missing two days of school this week because of the weather and other factors, some of the students asked to extend the candle fundraiser deadline. The Candle fundraiser deadline has been extended to Friday, March 6th. All orders sold until March 6th will count towards the overall class winner (Lunch anywhere in Ada for entire class), 1st ($250); 2nd ($150); and 3rd ($100) individual prize winners. Also, remember for each item sold, the student gets $1.00 back in their pocket.
If your child has already turned in their order form and you would like it back to sell more candles, we will be happy to return the order form.

Willard Grade Center is a 5th and 6th Grade Center with a student enrollment of approximately 400 students. The services offered at Willard begin each day at 7:30 a.m. with breakfast. As with all schools in the Ada System, Willard too is on the school bus system, which provides transportation within our school district before and after school.
During the 5th grade year, the students are eased into a class rotating system with a couple of class changes each day within teaching teams. A full 30-station computer lab, music instruction and library instruction are provided each week. The Accelerated Reader Program is utilized in our 5th grade reading classes.
In their 6th grade year, a full class rotation is utilized with our students exchanging classes each class period. Each student has one elective course, which includes either beginning band, or computer/music. Our 6th graders are also provided one semester of the D.A.R.E. Program.

Students are bussed to camp located on the southern shores of Lake of the Arbuckle's on Monday and return to Ada on Friday. This is one of Ada City Schools' oldest and more prestigious programs.
Willard students are offered many extra curricular opportunities. Both 5th and 6th graders are offered Basketball in the Fall and Track in the Spring. Students may also choose to join the Honor choir, Academic Team and Science club. Willard Grade Center also offers one of the top elementary Gifted and Talented programs in the State.
