  • ADA SCHOOLS BOND ISSUE - February 13, 2018

    Date: 01/10/18

The Ada City Schools Board of Education approved a resolution that will provide for a bond election on February 12, 2018.  The purpose of the bond is to meet the immediate needs of the District.  It is also the first phase of a long-range plan that has bee designed to provide the resources necessary to move our students in to the future.  Bond funds will allow the District to expand the infrastructure necessary for technology integration and will provide additional devices for classrooms at each school site.  Funds will also be used to develop STEM laboratories at Ada junior High School and Ada High School that will allow students to participate in hands-on, performance-based activities that will equip students with 21st century learning skills.  Bond funds will allow the District to provide up-to-date textbooks for students at every grade level and will make safe, reliable transportation available to all students.

Our community has made it clear that Ada is ready to move forward.  Our schools must lead the way in ensuring that our students have the skills necessary to enroll in post-secondary opportunities and to compete in the high demand, high skill, and high wage job market.

The District appreciates the commitment to education that our community has always shown and is committed to taking the steps necessary to ensure that the Ada City School District remains progressive in the education of Ada's students.
