1.  In 2016-2017, Ada High School won state championships in men's tennis, band, and dance, bringing the school's total state championships to 122.

2.  Ada High School has had 23 Oklahoma Academic All-State Recipients.  In 2017, Senior Kaylee Guan was named as an Oklahoma Academic All-Stater, making her one of the top 100 students in Oklahoma.

3.  Ada High School offers eight Advanced Placement Courses, more than any school in the region.  The school has had 17 AP Scholars, 9 AP Scholars With Honor, and 3 AP Scholars With Distinction.

4.  In 2017, the Ada High School Cougar Call was one of 34 online newspapers in the nation to be named an Online Newspaper of Excellence.  Cougar Call sponsor, Jamie Weston was named Oklahoma High School Newspaper Sponsor of the Year.

5.  The District's new Aviation Program, "The Sky is Not the Limit," was chosen as one of 31 schools in the nation to field test Purdue University and the AOPA's new aviation curriculum.

6.  The District's Teachers of the Year were Gracie Nail from Ada Early Childhood Center, Catie Barr from Hayes Grade Center, Ria Huckeby from Washington Grade Center, Vanna Jones from Willard Grade Center, Paula Ross from Ada Junior High School, and Jamie Weston from Ada High School.  Ria Huckeby was named as Teacher of the Year for the Ada City School District.

7.  For the first time in school history, both the Ada High School Cheerleaders and the Ada High School Couganns qualified for national competitions.

8.  Since the inception of the Oklahoma Academic Scholar program, Ada has had 328 students named as Oklahoma Academic Scholars.

9.  The District's Indian Education Program was named as a Johnson O'Malley Exemplary School of the Year.

10.  Ada High School senior, Bryan Moses was elected as DECA State Vice-President for 2017-2018.

11.  Ada High School Student Council was elected as the State Vice-President for the Oklahoma Association of Student Councils.  Senior, Nicole Lowry, will represent the school as Vice-President.

12.  In 2016-2017, the Ada City School Foundation awarded over $43,000 in grants to the teachers of the Ada City School District.

13.  The graduating seniors of the Class of 2017 were awarded over 1.2 million dollars in college scholarships.
